A new opportunity has arisen, to join the team at Essex Integration the Migrant & Refugee project of DNA Networks as a Living Support Assistant.  DNA Networks is a Christian charity supported by the Diocese of Chelmsford

The successful candidate will be joining a small, but highly effective and energetic team that works with and supports Migrants & Refugees to integrate into the community and the county of Essex.  These families have entered the UK through the Afghan LEC Programme and the Syrian VPR Scheme, both funded by the Home Office

The post holder will be based in Colchester to support clients in their homes and support them in being integrated in the community through assistance of their daily living activities.

Contract period: Initially 6 to 9 months

Contracted Hours: Zero Hours but initially 30 hours/week including weekends

Hourly rate: £9.80 per hour, enhanced weekend rate £12.74/hour

Interview date: Friday 23rd March 2018

Start Date: 9th April 2018

Basic Terms & Conditions:

Zero hours contract – hours advised monthly in advance

Salary: £19,110 pa – paid 25th each month

Annual Leave – 33 days per annum (pro rata for hours worked)

Sick Leave – Statutory sick pay scheme

Hours of work – as required by the scheme – based on two visits per day to clients home including weekends

Training – basic (safeguarding, boundaries, cultural, benefits system, wellbeing, orientation) during probation, advanced as the scheme dictates and as part of professional development.

Background checks – Current DBS, Chelmsford Diocese Declaration, references – character & employment
